Glory, Glory Hallelujah!

It’s celebration time (and very late I might say) as the Wizards resigned Antawn Jamison and Gilbert Arenas to new contracts. This ends my worrying that Agent Zero and Jamison may leave for other prospects and also helps prove me correct with all my boasting that they will never get rid of them. I stand by the idea that the Wizards are contenders when the entire team is healthy. With luck that will happen and I won’t have to see another Celtics – Lakers final for a few more years.

In other trade news, my other favorite guard Baron Davis is now an LA Clipper and former Clipper Elton Brand is now a 76. Yes I know I am late with all of this, but you 3 don’t read this for news. You read for my witty and lovable commentary which differentiates me from all the other blogs on the internet today (right….right?? I’m unique!….*whimper*.) Anyway, this makes me upset. Not because I care about Elton Brand, although he is a beast and will tear it up. Its because I enjoyed seeing Davis in Golden State. I have always had a soft spot for Golden State, ever since I first watched the NBA. It was them and the Magic when I used to be a fan (I used to say the Bulls, but I never really liked them that much. They were just the team I wanted to see because of Michael Jordan.) When I came back to the NBA over the past year and a half, I liked seeing Baron Davis and reading up about him and seeing crazy pictures like this.

I liked that he was connected to a team I liked and actually helped to make them contenders. It just won’t be the same seeing him in a Clippers uniform. Not that you will see it because when was the last time you saw a Clippers game on national TV (OK I never said that,  I said more Clippers games would be shown, but yes you…my friend…were correct in that statement.  I give it to you.)
