Hey want to know where I think Brett Favre is going after Green Bay? Straight to hell. I could honestly care less about the circus that has been created by ESPN, Peter King, ESPN, ESPN and of course Brett Favre himself.
Yeah the man wants to play the game, thats fine. Let him come back and play. Let him come back and toss a few more interceptions down the field and show off through celebration without any threat of penalty. It only helps the hate I feel in my heart for him burn more and more. The only extra bit of pain I could get from any of this is if he comes to Baltimore and ruins any chance of me enjoying this upcoming football season at all (yes Denver you will still suck.)
I think the worst part about this situation is how Aaron Rodgers must feel after being handed the torch somewhat. Hes now being asked to give it back by Favre and thankfully Green Bay hasn’t given into it. I obviously wasn’t mistaken with my pure hatred of the man in the past. Sure I aimed it mostly at the media and the legend that was made of a man I didn’t think fully deserved it, but I also had my fair share for Favre himself. As it turns out, that hate was not in vain as Favre truly is the douche I thought he was.
This whole debacle just goes to show that Favre is only really in it for himself (as I always thought) and is basically stabbing a team he held hostage (in my opinion) right in the back.
I’ll put it like this…there is a time for certain players to step down and last season was Favre’s time. He did surprisingly well and took the team to the playoffs. He should stay retired and enjoy what success and praise he has (I will give him some credit.) I would tell John Elway the same thing if he wanted to suit back up and helicopter spin himself a few more times. I love John Elway and he is the best in my opinion, but his time is done.
Oh and ESPN needs to be blown out into space. I don’t need to hear about Brett Favre from the broadcasters at the Mets – Phillies game telling me how much a certain player looks like Favre. Don’t even get me started on the ESPYs.
